OUR HISTORY
OC Wholesale Flowers has grown through decades of hard work, family leadership, trusted grower relationships, and a commitment to serving the floral community.
1982
OC Wholesale Flowers began in Santa Ana from a box truck, building the business one customer relationship and one load of fresh flowers at a time.
1983
The company moved beyond the box truck and into its first physical warehouse, establishing a permanent home for the growing wholesale operation.
1985
OC Wholesale Flowers expanded its sourcing relationships to farms throughout California, broadening the selection available to customers beyond the immediate area.
1990
The company moved into a larger location and established regular delivery routes, bringing fresh product directly to flower shops throughout the region.
EARLY 1990s
In the early 1990s, Jesus “Jesse” Gomez began working in the business from the ground up—washing buckets, sweeping, learning the warehouse, and becoming part of the daily operation.

After learning the business hands-on, Jesse moved into sales and began building deeper relationships with the florists and customers OC Wholesale Flowers served.

~1998
Jesse took on his own delivery route, working directly with flower shops and strengthening the customer relationships that would become central to the family’s future with the company.

2001
The Gomez family officially purchased OC Wholesale Flowers in 2001, beginning the current ownership chapter and carrying the company forward through hands-on family leadership.

Today the business operates from more than 12,000 square feet, with three flower-shop routes serving roughly 50–60 shops each week and two van routes serving about 20–30 event companies weekly—supported by a 21-person team, 150+ farm partners, and more than 4,000 bunches moving through the operation each week.
